Hi-Watt Battery Industry Co., Ltd. ("Hi-Watt") was established in 1985 in Hong Kong. It is one of the leading battery manufacturers in Hong Kong and mainland China. Hi-Watt has 4 wholly owned or associated companies in China which are engaged in manufacturing and sale of primary batteries, rechargeable batteries, multi-cell batteries and battery machinery.

Hi-Watt is now employing over 2000 staff member. The site areas are over 70,000 square meters. The plants have over 40 efficient production lines of carbon zinc, alkaline and rechargeable batteries.

Hi-Watt is manufacturing and providing more than 50 items, including carbon zinc batteries, alkaline batteries, nickel cadmium batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, lead acid batteries, warning lamps and battery machinery. The major export markets are the U.S.A., Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America and Africa. Hi-Watt achieved sales value of US$80,000,000 in 2007.

Our company has strong and powerful technical and engineering team, employing over 100 experienced and professional engineering staff. Applying advanced technology, our carbon zinc and alkaline batteries are superior in quality, capacity, safety and shelf-life. To achieve the targets of safety and environmental protection, Hi-Watt is the pioneer in China to apply "zero-mercury, zero-cadmium" technology in manufacturing primary carbon zinc batteries which meets entirely the requirements of latest international safety and environmental standard.

Guangzhou Hi-Watt Battery Industry Ltd., a member of the Group, is the first specialist in China in manufacturing multi-cell 9V batteries. "HW" brand batteries are awarded as famous brand name by Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City in China respectively.

Hi-Watt adheres strictly to the requirements of IEC. Due to superior and reliable quality, high performance and leakproof feature, Hi-Watt batteries has been awarded "Q mark" certificate by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, as well as UL and C.E. certificates. Two major production bases within the group have also passed ISO9001:2000 certification.
